Suzie Solomon has been performing just about all her life. She began playing the piano in church when she was in elementary school and continued to add most of the stringed instruments to her repertoire - guitar, fiddle, banjo, autoharp, mountain dulcimer, bass and mandolin.
She has performed over twenty years for senior homes, schools, museums, libraries and music festivals.
In all her performances, Suzie's desire is to get her audience involved in the music.
She found that the seniors had fun dancing to her tunes. Sometimes they could dance standing up but more often they 'danced' in their chairs. This led to her idea of a 'Sitting Square Dance'.
Her son Michael joined her on bass and guitar in making the cd. He began performing with the family band when he was four years old. The boys grew up and left home and Suzie's husband passed away. She remarried and she and Gary continue to perform as SouthWind. They travel over the country and might be able to come to your area. Contact them at 303.638.3725.
